On the occasion of the Horse Lunar New Year, on January 22, 2014, the Executive Committee of VPBank Trade Union visited, and presented gifts of encouragement to Vietnam Heroic Mother Truong Thi Neu, and Luong Hoang Ngoc Linh - a child of Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, a former VPBank employee died of illness.
This is one of the traditional activities of VPBank Trade Union every Lunar New Year. Mother Truong Thi Neu is one of 3 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers that VPBank are taking care of. Her husband and children were all dead in the war. She is now living alone in the Gratitude House newly renovated by the corporation of Government levels, sectors, and locals.
Welcoming VPBank employees, she was very moved and talked about her farewell time to her husband and children when they left for the duty of the country. As her thank to the concern of VPBank leadership, she wished VPBank to continue the tradition of patriotism and contribute to the development of the country.
On the same day, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to Luong Hoang Ngoc Linh, a child of Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc. Ms. Ngoc was a former VPBank teller at Le Van Sy Branch. Unfortunately she died of illness, leaving her child for her blood mother to raise. VPBank Trade Union has sponsored this child until she turns 18.
Mr. Do Thanh Trung, the chairman of VPBank Trade Union in HCM City said: “The gift is small but it brings the gratitude of all trade union members. For years, we are very happy to cooperate with the agencies in charitable activities to help people in general and VPBank employees in particular to facilitate the difficulty in life.”
