On July 17th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, VPBank’s Deputy CEO; Mr. Dao Gia Hung, Deputy Head of SME Division; and Mr. Dang Huy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, participated in an online talk show with the audience of VnExpress, the most-read Vietnamese newspaper, about the benefits of the law supporting SMEs.
The National Assembly passed the Law on Support for SMEs on June 12th. This is the first time Vietnam has had a specific law for SMEs.
The talk show attracted nearly 20,000 viewers who had many questions about the law and loan packages. Representatives of the SME Division introduced unsecured loans – a tailored financial solution to access banking capital for SMEs that do not have collateral. VPBank offers SME loans of up to VND 5 billion as well as the VPBiz credit card which allows SMEs to quickly borrow up to VND 2 billion.
