VPBank is consistently enhancing its Risk Management & Compliance capabilities, with a particular focus on adhering to domestic legal regulations and international practices concerning Anti-Corruption.
VPBank declares a zero-tolerance policy for corruption and bribery:
- Commitment to Compliance: VPBank is committed to implementing measures for the prevention, detection, handling, and other activities related to anti-corruption in compliance with legal regulations, international standards, and VPBank's internal policies.
- "NO" to Corruption and Bribery: VPBank explicitly says "NO" to all acts of corruption and bribery. All actions related to corruption and bribery are strictly prohibited, even if they are perceived to be for VPBank's benefit. This includes, but is not limited to: offering, giving, or receiving bribes, facilitation payments, kickbacks, gifts, or any other material or intangible benefits, whether directly or indirectly through any third party, with the aim of having the recipient perform job functions contrary to legal regulations or VPBank's internal policies.
- Prompt and Strict Handling: All acts of corruption must be detected, prevented, and handled promptly and rigorously.
- Accountability: Individuals engaging in corruption, regardless of their position or title, will be dealt with in accordance with legal regulations and internal policies, without leniency.
- Asset Recovery and Compensation: Corrupt assets must be recovered and confiscated. Individuals who cause damages through corrupt acts must compensate and reimburse according to VPBank's regulations and the law.
- Mitigation for Self-Reporting: Individuals who have engaged in corruption but proactively report it before detection, actively mitigate the damage caused by their illegal acts, and voluntarily return corrupt assets may be proposed by VPBank to the competent State agencies for penalty reduction or exemption from criminal prosecution, as per legal regulations.
- Continued Accountability: Individuals who have engaged in corruption and have since retired, resigned, or transferred still remain accountable for the corrupt acts they committed.
- Coordinated Action: The handling of corrupt acts must involve coordination among relevant functional units (investigation, verification, internal handling, communication, etc.) and timely reporting to the competent authorities.
- Whistleblower Protection: Individuals who report corruption will have their confidentiality and identity protected in accordance with VPBank's regulations and the Bank's practical conditions.
- Increased Disciplinary Action for Leadership: If an individual disciplined for a corrupt act is a head or deputy head of an organization or unit, the form of disciplinary action may be increased.
